Odhnis / chunris from Jodhpur are extremely cherished while they are prepared all over the state now. The method followed engages the use of blocks of wood with nails that project from it. These nails are pushed on to the folded cloth. As a result the desired pattern is formed. The elevated points of the cloth are attached firmly with strings coated with resist-paste and then tinted. This odhni is linked with lots of rituals and festivals in folk songs and lyrics. 

The patterns are generally geometrical, dotted, squares and circles colored in dazzling greens, reds, yellows, blues are used. The motifs comprise birds, flowers and leaves over and above depicting women performing the garba dance. The chunri design is moreover created in Bhilwara and Ahar where the fundamental colors used are maroon and black. Little bird and flower motifs in pink, green and yellow are instituted here. an vegetable dyes.
