The jungle lac craft of Nowrangapur in Koraput is the well known hub for Lac combs of Odissa. These combs are known as Lac Siredi in the locality and mainly have two types of figure. The quadrangular one used largely by men and the circular one meant for the women. 

Lac, is a secretion of an insect in form of resin which is cultured here. Lac is believed to have started off in Nawaragapur district of Orissa. This craft of comb preparation is performed by both men and women members. lac, bamboo, fabric, earthen pots and iron knife are the key materials for the Lac Siredi.
