The Resist process known as Dabu is used at this point engage use of wax or gum clay mixture with resin which is applied by brush or block or by hand on some portion of the cloth. The color is subsequently applied to it. Afterwards wax is cleansed in hot or flowing water and the applied color shifts into this area giving a diffused result.
This procedure is to some extent similar to the batik process. Block printing is then applied on the section of the cloth where the original color is reserved. The fabric is tainted with prints of detailed outlines and patterns next to the contrast color. As wax is used the designs get a broken look similar to batik due to the leakage of color on one occasion the resist is rinsed. The little Chaubundi print in indigo is renowned in Bagru. Vegetable Dyes and Kashish Dyes are used.
