In the border town of Jaisalmer a variety of resist printing that requires extremely low temperatures is prepared. This can consequently be procedured only for the period of the night and in winter. The resist used is wax, and the blocks have extraordinary lift up surfaces so that the deep grooves are curved in well into wax. The wax is then rinsed in warm or flowing water and the applied disperse into the region. The major colour used is dark red, from which altering tones are achieved. A locally known sari called the jarribhat is printed at this point. This has an extraordinary design comprising of squares amid the back ground colours being black, red, and pink.
